Choosing the right pair of hockey elbow pads is crucial for players of all ages and skill levels, and achieving a proper fit is just as important as picking the right brand, model and features. When you're shopping for hockey elbow pads, shoulder pads or any other piece of hockey protective gear, always make sure to check the sizing tab on the product page so that you can be sure you're choosing the correct size. If your elbow pads are too small, you won't have proper coverage for your forearms and the bottom of your triceps; and more importantly, your elbow won't be properly centered in the cap of the elbow pads. If your elbow pads are too big, they'll slip out of position while you skate and offer poor coverage for your elbow cap when you take a spill because your elbow may slide completely out of the cup leaving it completely unprotected.
Every manufacturer has its own sizing charts that correspond to the products they offer and sizes are comparable from one brand to the next. If you or the child for whom you are ordering elbow pads is still growing, try to leave some extra room for growth, we do not recommend going any more than one size above the manufacturer's recommendations for your current size. For growing players, we suggest a small overlap of coverage connecting your elbow pads and bicep protectors of your shoulder pads for years of play.
Our elbow pads are made by the best manufacturers in the hockey industry, Reebok, CCM, Easton, Oakley, Tron, DR, Powertek and others.
